By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. “Thandolwami,” “we,” and “us” refer to Thandolwami Bushlodge and, where the context requires, the named provider of a Bambelela Horse Safaris or Thando Horizon service.
A service contract is formed only when the responsible provider confirms your booking or registration. If these website terms conflict with mandatory consumer law, that law prevails.
2. Website information and availability
We take reasonable care to keep descriptions, images, itineraries, prices, and availability current. Bush conditions, wildlife, weather, staffing, exchange rates, supplier availability, and operational needs can change. Website content is therefore general information and not a guarantee of a particular sighting, route, activity, or result.
We may correct an obvious error, update content, suspend a feature, or withdraw an offer before a booking is confirmed. Please ask us to confirm any detail that is essential to your decision.
3. Bookings, prices, and payments
- You must provide complete and accurate guest, contact, and booking information and be authorised to book for everyone in your group.
- Prices are shown in the stated currency. Bank, card, exchange, tax, or third-party charges may apply as disclosed by the relevant provider.
- Accommodation bookings are currently completed through NightsBridge. Its checkout displays the live price, payment schedule, and applicable booking conditions before confirmation.
- Payment-card information is entered with the payment provider and is not collected through the public contact forms on this website.
- A displayed request, enquiry, or registration email is not confirmed until you receive an acceptance or booking confirmation.
4. Changes, cancellations, and refunds
The cancellation, amendment, no-show, deposit, and refund conditions shown in your booking flow or written confirmation apply to that booking. Contact the provider named in the confirmation as soon as possible if plans change. Any statutory cancellation or refund right remains unaffected.
We may need to alter an activity for safety, weather, animal welfare, conservation, maintenance, or circumstances outside reasonable control. We will offer the remedy required by the applicable booking conditions and law, which may include a reasonable alternative, rescheduling, credit, or refund.
5. Riding, wildlife, and outdoor activities
Horse riding, wildlife areas, swimming, hiking, travel on rural roads, and other bush activities involve inherent risks. Participation may depend on age, health, experience, equipment, weather, animal welfare, and the guide’s safety assessment.
- Follow staff and guide instructions and use required safety equipment.
- Disclose relevant riding experience, accessibility needs, and health or safety concerns through the channel requested before participation.
- Do not approach, feed, disturb, or handle animals unless expressly directed.
- A lawful indemnity or participation form may be required. It does not remove rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
- A parent or legal guardian must make arrangements and provide required consent for participants under 18.
Guests are responsible for appropriate travel and activity insurance, medical needs, visas, passports, vaccinations, and travel advice relevant to their journey.
6. Acceptable use and guest responsibilities
You must not use the website or our services to:
- break the law, infringe another person’s rights, or misrepresent identity;
- attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, or disrupt service;
- scrape, copy, or exploit content at scale without permission; or
- harass staff, guests, local communities, or other participants.
On-site guests must respect lodge rules, property, animals, staff, neighbours, and other guests. Serious or unsafe conduct may result in removal from an activity or property, subject to applicable law and booking terms.
7. Intellectual property and guest content
Unless stated otherwise, the website design, copy, brand elements, photographs, and other content are owned by or licensed to Thandolwami. Personal, non-commercial viewing is permitted. Reproduction, publication, commercial use, or removal of rights notices requires prior written permission.
If you send us a review, photograph, or other material, you retain your ownership. We will request permission before using identifiable guest material for public marketing, unless another written agreement applies.
8. Third-party services and links
Links to NightsBridge, Google Maps, WhatsApp, social networks, payment providers, or other external services are provided for convenience. Those services are controlled by their operators and have separate terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for their availability or content, except to the extent the law makes us responsible for a provider acting on our behalf.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that rule, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss caused by information you supplied incorrectly, or events outside our reasonable control. Each party remains responsible for loss caused by its own unlawful, negligent, or intentional conduct.
10. Governing law, changes, and contact
These website terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. South African courts have jurisdiction, without removing any mandatory right you may have to use another competent consumer forum or court.
