Bambelela - Horse Safaris

Horseback trail rides through bush, orchards, and wildlife country.

Bambelela Horse Safaris offers relaxed one-hour rides and longer trail rides for advanced riders. The longer routes move through citrus orchards, bushveld, and a neighbouring reserve of roughly 1000 hectares, with mountain views and wildlife sightings shaping each ride.

Bambelela Horse Safaris

Ride close to the land.

The trail rides combine the quiet pace of horseback travel with the texture of the Lowveld: orchards, bush tracks, water edges, and wildlife country around the lodge. Each ride is shaped around the riders, the weather, and the animals moving through the landscape that day.

  • Small groups, shaped around rider level and horse wellbeing
  • Single riders welcome with no extra fee
  • Chance to see giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, impala, nyala, sable, warthog, kudu, hippo, crocodile, and birdlife
  • Dam and mountain views on selected trail rides
