Horseback Trail Rides

Bambelela Horse Safaris offers 1-hour horseback trail rides in Hoedspruit area on our property (approx. 100 hectares). We do have giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, eland, ostrich, impala, nyala, sable, and a beautiful view of the mountains. For all level of riders. Only walking - we can do a short trot (if you can). 

Our 2-hour rides are going over our neighbouring reserves approx. 300 ha. where we ride through the orchids (lemons/grapefruits and oranges) and riding along some dams with chance to see hippo and crocodile. We can also combine it with our property & this property. For all level of riders. 

Our 3-hour rides are a combination of riding through the orchids (lemons/grapefruits and oranges) and seeing wildlife. We are riding on our neighbouring reserve (approx. 900 ha.)  Chance to see giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, impala, nyala, sable, warthog, kudu, hippo, crocodile and a variety of birds at the dam. There is a beautiful dam with mountain view. Only for experienced riders who know how to canter!! 

 

Rates 2026

Morning / afternoon ride  - 1 hour |  R 550 per person 

Morning / afternoon ride - 2 hours |  R 820 per person 

Morning ride - 3 hours |  R 920 per person (for experienced riders only)

* We are not doing afternoon rides on very hot days

 

Small groups max 4 people. Single riders are also welcome (no extra fee). 

Age 8+. Weight limit is 85 kg - Please wear closed shoes and long pants/jeans - Riding helmets are provided.
