Airport

Hoedspruit Airport (HDS) is a 45 minutes drive from our lodge.

Age and weight limit

We take riders 18+ - no age limit if you are still fit!

Weight limit is 85 kg.

Accommodation

Shared chalet with 2 single beds and own bathroom with shower and toilet, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, mini-fridge and a closet. Big swimming pool 15x7 meter with lounge facilities and a waterhole for the wild animals.

Food

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the price. Lunch is self-service. Water, coffee and tea are free of charge. You can buy soft drinks and alcohol at the lodge, or bring your own drinks/snacks after shopping in town.

Additional excursions/tours

Bambelela Horse Safaris offers; Kruger safari daytrips, Panorama Route daytrips, Elephant Moments & Jessica the Hippo and the Blyde Canyon River Cruise. We can also organise you a massage at our neighbouring lodge.

Pace and time in saddle

Pace - depending on the nature of the terrain. But every rides has walk, trot, canter and gallop. Riding time a day 3-5 hours.

All year round

Group size

Small groups - minimal 1 and maximum 5 riders.

Riding level

We only take intermediate, experienced or advanced riders. You must be confident enough to walk, trot, canter and gallop on outrides and different terrains.

Horse breeds

Thoroughbreds, Arabians, Appaloosa x, Quarter Horse x, Boerperd x.

Type of tack

South African trail saddles and English saddles

Inclusions

The price includes all riding (including swimming with the horses), accommodation on shared base, breakfast-lunch and dinner, water-coffee and tea, airport transfers (Hoedspruit HDS), once a week self service laundry.

Exclusions

The price does not include international and local flights, travel insurance (mandatory), drinks and snacks, staff tips and additional excursions/tours.
